Jack Parks formed Jack Parks & Sons Incorporated in 1964. Jack passed the business on to his son, Jim, who expanded JPS Inc as a national Wholesale Manufacturer to the sign industry. The company moved to new, fully renovated space in 2017. Under new family ownership in 2019 as JPS Signs LLC, Heather-Renee Rinderle and her team continue to specialize in custom dimensional signs such as V-Carved and 3D Routed Signs in a variety of Textured Backgrounds, Dimensional Lettering and Complete Sign Finishing.

The difference is how they are applied & how light reflects differently on the two materials.
Gold leaf is real 23 karat gold foil which is hand-applied to the sign surface.
This full metallic surface reflects a lot of light which gives it a nice shine and tonal quality.
Gold paint, or any metallic paint for that matter, simulates a metal finish but because the metallic elements are suspended in a fluid paint base, it reflects less light than the full metallic surface of Gold Leaf.

Our textured signs feature a beautiful and unique look such as our traditionally textured Wood Grain or Pebble surface as well as other custom textures such as Wave, Brick, Diamond Plate, and more.
In the past we used a true sandblasting technique to achieve our background textures, however we've since updated our technology and use our CNC routers to create the same effects with more precision and speed.
We currently offer our textured backgrounds in our HDU Sign Foam as well as PVC in some instances.

It's called this because these signs offer exceptional durability in extremely harsh outdoor conditions while retaining a superior automotive grade finish.
Our finished Rhino Carve PVC signs do not become discolored or warped whether the sign is indoors or outdoors.
Generally of our PVC Signs are carved, however we have had success with textured or smooth recessed backgrounds on select projects.
