Brian Durkin's sign career began in 1981 at the original Marin Sign Company, working for local sign painting legend and character, Rad Ingram.
After four years there and after acquiring additional experience working with other sign professionals in the San Francisco Bay Area, he founded Durkin Signs and Graphics in his San Rafael garage in 1995.
The business grew, and after three years he moved his shop to its current location on Galli Drive in Novato.
His partner, James Selle, joined him in 1998 with responsibility for installation and office operations.
