Eduard and Ingrid Hofbauer, started what would become Alpine Ski Hut in the late 1960's on Main Street in downtown Oneonta.
For over 45 years Alpine Ski Hut served Oneonta and surrounding communities customers with excellent sales and service.
The shop started out carrying downhill and cross country skiing equipment, with many of the products imported directly by "Eddie" from Europe.
The store expanded over the years as more and more of the products the customers were looking for.
Over the years ski parkas/pants/gloves, bikes, athletic footwear, soccer apparel, gold equipment were all added.
